IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT THIGH LIPOSUCTION
Anyone considering Thigh Liposuction must have realistic expectations and remember that the choice to have a liposuction treatment for body contouring is a serious decision that should never be taken lightly.
Cosmetic surgery, such as liposuction treatments targeting the inner and outer thighs, is invasive and carries various risks, side effects, and potential complications that could be lasting.
Comprehensive information sheets covering all aspects of Vaser Thigh Liposuction will be provided to you and discussed in detail during the initial consultations with the doctor, including what to expect during recovery. Essential components of preparing for a surgical procedure include ensuring you fully comprehend the risks, side effects and complications of having surgery, as well as understanding liposuction treatments are not weight loss surgery.
Prior to deciding to undergo a procedure, all patients must understand that the experiences and outcomes of one person, does not reflect or guarantee the outcomes another person may achieve. Liposuction before and after results will vary, and liposuction of the inner thighs does not guarantee a thigh gap will be achieved.
At Cosmos Aesthetics we use Vaser Liposuction for all our liposuction treatments. Vaser Thigh Liposuction is a liposuction technique that utilises ultrasound technology to break apart excess fat cells and liquefy stubborn fat in specific areas of the body. For a liposuction treatment to reduce thigh fat, IV sedation (either twilight sedation or general anaesthetic) along with a local anaesthetic numbing solution is used in each thigh area. A cannula is inserted via small incision sites into the stubborn fat deposits. The unwanted excess fat is broken apart with the cannula, to prepare the fat cells to be suctioned out of the treated areas of the body via the incisions.
The ultrasound liposuction technique of Vaser Liposuction may enhance skin tightening, and can reduce the small deposits of unwanted stubborn fat in the upper inner thighs, upper outer thighs (saddle bags), front thighs, back thighs, and inner knees in suitable candidates.
All liposuction treatments are surgical procedures. Leg Liposuction is an invasive procedure, the risks and side effects are serious. The results achieved will always vary person to person due to multiple factors and there are no outcome guarantees.
The doctor will discuss the healing process and what to expect during the recovery period after Thigh Liposuction at your initial consultations. Detailed aftercare instructions for wearing compression garments, managing pain and nausea, as well as performing daily lymphatic drainage massage will all be provided to you, including hard copies of all information sheets for you to reference as needed.
Thigh Liposuction is an invasive procedure and you will be required to wear compression garments for six weeks following surgery. Attending all scheduled follow up appointments is essential to support you throughout the post-liposuction healing process.
Not all patients who consider cosmetic surgery to address unwanted thigh fat are suitable candidates for surgery, and suitability is determined by the doctor during your initial consultations. Depending on multiple factors including your pre-existing body shape, if you have experienced significant weight gain or weight loss, have excess fat, loose skin, or unrealistic expectations, you may be unsuitable especially for liposuction of the inner thighs.
Individuals who are unable to have cosmetic surgery such as a thigh liposuction procedure, may be referred to a plastic surgeon to discuss other surgical procedures and plastic surgery options such as a thigh lift.
Liposuction treatments aren’t a one-price-fits-all surgical procedure. The cost of Vaser Thigh Liposuction varies greatly and is different for each individual depending on multiple factors, including the specific needs and medical requirements of every patient.
At Cosmos Aesthetics the price for Leg Liposuction starts from a minimum base price of $5,500 for the first area, with any additional areas costing a smaller fee depending on the size, starting from a minimum $2,000 per area. The pricing structure used covers aspects such as body shape and size of the thigh areas being treated, anticipated surgery time surgery, the type of anaesthetic being used, and the complexity of each individual case. The example prices provided are to be used as a general guide only and are not intended to be used as an exact quote.
Personalised pricing for your Leg Liposuction treatment will be calculated from an itemised detailed breakdown of costs, including but not limited to your anaesthetic fees, the time spent in theatre, your post-operative compression garments, and any applicable hospital fees. An exact quote for your individual needs will be provided to you during your initial consultations with our doctors.
